Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

The Intern, Drop Ship Operations is responsible for onboarding Drop Ship vendors and educating them to drive adherence to program requirements and the vendor guide. The intern will identify vendor performance and compliance issues and ensure the vendor meets mutually agreed upon SLAs and performance metrics. The Intern works collaboratively with the cross-functional teams of Drop Ship, EDI, Supply Chain and Logistics to provide clear, consistent communication and direction to vendors in a high growth e-Commerce retailer environment.  

  • Partner with cross-functional groups and external partners to activate and onboard drop ship vendors
  • Support drop ship vendors through onboarding process, maintaining an efficient vendor on-boarding workflow 
  • Work closely with the EDI team to manage and maintain daily drop ship feeds which include inventory (EDI 846), orders (EDI 850), POA (purchase order acknowledgment, EDI 855), ASN (advanced ship notification, EDI 856), invoice (EDI 810) document flow and issue resolution  
  • Monitor daily 846 (inventory) errors and reach out to vendors for immediate resolution 
  • Monitor/research/troubleshoot daily EDI transactions errors and communicate with the internal teams and/or vendors to resolve issues quickly  
  • Act as ongoing logistics support for drop ship vendors 
  • Support ODC drop ship returns process  
  • Complete weekly, monthly drop ship reporting as required 
  • Collaborate with others to drive flexible and iterative solutions, quickly and easily 
  • Share technical knowledge with others and actively seek to learn from those more knowledgeable than yourself 
  • Help others see the impacts of their efforts and proactively engage other functions to get input

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • Experience with SAP, specific but not limited to order processing, master data, and operational reporting 
  • Experience with EDI  
  • Strong Excel skills required 
  • Inbound receiving, inventory management knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external 
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment 
  • Models a passion for the business as well as demonstrates a proactive and solution orientated style 
  • Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
