Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Digital Product Operations Manager leads the creation and implementation of a best-in-class product information and decision support experience for customers that visit and shop indigo.ca. This role oversees the product on-boarding process and strategy, to seamlessly enrich online article information, enhance decision support for our customers and SEO, driving sales at the lowest possible end-to-end process cost. The Manager will lead a team of digital product onboarders ensuring site content delivers to the needs of the business, produces a best in class customer experience on time and within budget.
- Oversee the development and implementation of company-wide data governance and data management strategies while chairing the Data Governance Council
- Create, define, oversee and support all processes from content acquisition to content management and publication/syndication for product data
- Stay up-to-date on the competitive landscape and best practices for customer-centric article information and presentation
- Maintain a high level of strategic foresight by identifying customer and business needs, and adjusting departmental and team objectives accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to address and continuously improve the customer experience across Indigo.ca
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the product onboarding team
- Identify critical data elements for departments across Indigo
- Find, document and define solutions to product information issues
- Assess rich content publication provided by third-party content aggregators
- Cleanse and normalize new product information
- Ensure the execution of team deliverables and adapt priorities based on changing needs
- Manage the product studio ensuring all necessary content is delivered on time, on budget and aligned with style guide
- Build strong teams by attracting and developing the best talent

Qualifications
WHO YOU ARE:
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related degree program
- 5+ years of progressive retail experience (preferably eCommerce) with minimum 3 years people management accountability
- Understanding of site design principles, taxonomy, browse path, item page enrichment
- Working knowledge of site analytics and mechanics, SEO
- High level of attention to details, ability to multi-task and manage their own priorities and deadlines.
- Known for building strong, collaborative relationships
- Obsessed with creating a world-class experience for customers
- Influential, with a proven ability to create meaningful change
- Digital product enrichment thought leadership
- Knowledge and experience in building search-optimized product content
- Strong aptitude to learn new software and complex technical concepts
