Job Description


The Specialist, Online Merchandising & Site Content is responsible for supporting and delivering an out of this world ecommerce experience through the bringing together of rich assortment, curated product stories, delivering exceptional search and navigation experiences, compelling promotions and exceptional decision support.  

  • Manage content and merchandising of select vertical/campaigns, driven by: monitoring of key metrics; merchandising activity and plan; category trends, new & hot product releases, current events and newsworthy media/trends; integration with overall retail merchandising/marketing planning; and inventory levels/availability 
  • Provide reports and analysis of merchandising sales for assigned categories 
  • Manage day-to-day merchandising programs, execute multi-channel integration and strategy to achieve business objectives 
  • Measure and analyze campaign effectiveness, market conditions, and competitive behaviours – reporting, recommending, and executing insights, trends and opportunities 
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop and maintain merchandised product and content on main pages, secondary pages, boutiques, brand pages, landing pages and/or banner creative for seasonal themes, major holidays and special promotions 
  • Act as the Project Manager for select seasonal/occasion-based digital shops, including development of creative briefs, creative/editorial revisions and approvals, product lists and photography direction 
  • Development and execution of select annual online calendar leveraging evolving category strategies, seasonal stories and promotional plans 
  • Manage the development and execution and/or placement of category-related and other promotional online banners  
  • Coordinate with Digital Marketing for on-site traffic optimization (SEO copy, Affiliate links, Email links) 
  • Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all design and decision-making processes 
  • Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs 
  • Challenge the status quo and consistently identify areas for improvement, diagnose issues and working to resolve them 
  • Collaborate with others to drive flexible and iterative solutions, quickly and easily 
  • Share technical knowledge with others and actively seek to learn from those more knowledgeable than yourself 
  • Help others see the impacts of their efforts and proactively engage other functions to get input 
  • Encourage others to freely share their point of view and be open to feedback 



  • Bachelor Degree, College Degree, or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in online merchandising, digital marketing, or related fields (preferably for an e-commerce retail company) 
  • An industry-level knowledge of and passion for baby and kids products, customers 
  • Working knowledge of HTML and content management systems 
  • Working knowledge of analytics platforms, particularly Adobe Omniture and Google Analytics 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Technologically savvy, proficient with all MS Office applications 
  • Innovative and customer focused, with a hands-on approach 
  • Ability to leverage data to influence and make decisions 
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines 
  • Has a high degree of self-motivation and energy 
  • Ability to focus on and execute all responsibilities 
  • Has a passion for the role and the brand
