Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-plan. This role will manage technical eCommerce projects across multi-disciplinary teams (internal and external), creating and tracking detailed project plans, managing and resolving issues and risks, and communicating status and priorities through succinct and engaging updates in order to advance Indigo’s eCommerce agenda.

•    Manage technical and eCommerce implementation projects on-time, in-scope and within budget
•    Identify and build out relevant workstreams for project delivery with Project Sponsor
•    Identify project dependencies; work with all business and technology partners to identify dependencies and communicate the impacts if delivery dates are missed
•    Identify high-level business and operational impacts as appropriate to address people, culture, capacity, process, technology, risk, and implementation approach 
•    Proactively identify project issues and risks; work with business leaders to drive to resolution
•    Identify scope changes and manage change request process for approval
•    Advocate for and relentlessly drive forward initiatives through a deep understanding of the project scope and desired goals
•    Conduct weekly meetings with internal and external project teams (including Steering Committee)
•    Serve as the key liaison for the business and proactively clarify and prioritize business ideas, needs, and problems that require technology business process enablement
•    Understand and challenge detailed business requirements to ensure they are cohesive
•    Act as the key conduit to project manage infrastructure and hosting partner
•    Coach key stakeholders/change agents across the organization on effective change management tactics to ensure successful implementation and sustainability
•    Develop and implement a plan to measure and monitor business case KPIs, identify risk areas and determine appropriate interventions
•    Ensure the completion of team deliverables and set/adhere to team budgets, as applicable
•    Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all design and decision-making processes
•    Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs
•    Embrace and seek out technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions for Indigo’s customers

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE: 

•    5+ years of experience managing cross-functional, high-volume, complex, consumer facing technical or eCommerce projects
•    Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Business, or equivalent experience
•    Project Management Certification (PMP) is mandatory
•    Extensive experience in using a defined Project Management Process – initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects, Software Development Life Cycle Process & Change Management Methodology & Process
•    Experienced and skilled in developing and managing a project budget, estimating work effort, and organizing and coordinating project work
•    Experience managing large retail projects (including retail web and mobile technologies)
•    Experience managing change in a transformational project or program
•    Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
•    Knowledge of SAP an asset
