Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

As the EDI Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and improving the operation of Indigo’s EDI Business Environment, to deliver an advanced Supply Chain capability and customer experience that helps grow Indigo’s Retail and Online businesses.

  • Provide support and help resolve EDI issues pertaining to mapping, communications, and SAP with respect to our warehouses (distribution centres and 3PL) and stores
  • Provide support to all store and warehouse quarantine issues by working with store, DC and 3PL teams to resolve operational issues and investigate and resolve root causes
  • Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal customers for resolution of issues
  • Identify and communicate with vendors on non-compliance concerns (as per Indigo Vendor Manual) and disputes
  • Support the process to transition new vendors to EDI to deliver EDI adoption metrics
  • Support and communicate with vendors and third parties on new EDI document adoption to deliver business results
  • Identify and help drive new opportunities to enhance and revise current processes to improve efficiency in EDI and Supply Chain operations
  • Act as a resource for EDI and Quarantine related questions and inquiries from internal and external customers and partners
  • Develop positive and productive peer relationships
  • Work in a collaborative and constructive manner with team and cross functional partners

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Minimum 2 years of EDI experience at a functional user level preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting internal / external customer issues (e.g. Help Desk/Retail)
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Familiar with X12 Standards and its corresponding formats
  • Understanding of SAP and SAP IDOCs preferred
  • High degree of adaptability and ability to ‘Flow to the Work’
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Ability to utilize technical skills and knowledge of the business to facilitate effective solutions; actively curious to learn "why" issues are occurring with a goal to improve
  • High level of written and oral communication skills
  • Customer focused with ability to communicate complex issues effectively to business partners
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities; does not require leadership direction to take action to address issues
  • MS Excel – Level II – pivot tables & complex functions
  • Microsoft Access skills an asset
